Hip Hop Clubs in Vegas

#1 – Drai’s Nightclub

A $93 million build out, which took place as part of an overall property remodel, Drai’s Nightclub has quickly become one of the premier Hip Hop Clubs in Vegas.  The venue features just one sound, which means that the featured talent can be heard from the entire venue, as opposed to just one specific area or room.

In late 2014, Drai’s launched a Drai’s Live in Concert Series, which features full 40-60 minute performances, as opposed to a celebrity host or appearance.  Featured artists include Chris Brown, TheWeeknd, J. Cole, Iggy Azalea, and Busta Rhymes.  Their Sunday party, “Sundrais”, is one of the most popular industry/local events and has showcased artists both new and old such as G-Eazy, Eric Bellinger, Tinashe, Redman & Method Man, and Too Short.

Note that Drai’s does rotate EDM DJs into their event calendar as well, so be sure to check there if you’re only interested in hearing Hip Hop music.

#2 – TAO Las Vegas

One of the originators of the celebrity driven events remains one of the best at it.  TAO is one of the most well-known and highly regarded brands in the country, operating multiple venues in both Las Vegas and New York.  They tend to stick within the Hip Hop or open format space as their sister property, Marquee, was until recently, exclusively an EDM venue.

Like Drai’s, they often have advertised performances.  Recent events include Rae Sremmurd, Wyclef Jean, DJ Khaled, and Nelly.  TAO also has a branded residency with Snoop Dogg called “The Snoopadelic Cabaret”, which is a roaring twenties, speakeasy themed production.

TAO has for years set the standards for hospitality and guest experience.  As the longest running Strip nightclub, it’s clearly proven to be a winning formula.  And just as well known as the nightclub, is the attached vibe-dining restaurant.

The Bank Las Vegas

#3 – The Bank

Rounding out the Top 3 Hip Hop Clubs in Vegas is The Bank Nightclub, located in the Bellagio Resort & Casino.  Much smaller than its running mates, The Bank offers a more intimate experience, without the square footage of a megaclub.  As one of the only Las Vegas venues that stays away from the EDM DJs, you can feel confident that you’ll get Hip Hop or open format music, on any of its operational nights.  Like Drai’s, they do a Sunday night industry party, however, the former is probably the more popular of the two.

Some recent headliners include Jamie Foxx, Ciara, Common, Rev Run & Ruckus, Trey Songz, and Bruno Mars.

#4 – 1 OAK Las Vegas

Located in the Mirage Hotel & Casino, 1 OAK Las Vegas is one of the better known nightlife brands in the country.  The flagship 1 OAK venue was opened in New York City by The Butter Group, who then expanded to both the Los Angeles and Las Vegas markets.

The venue itself boasts two rooms which spans more than 16,000 sq. ft., and a cutting edge lighting and sound system by Avalon Sound.  1 OAK is on the short list of Las Vegas Strip nightclubs that stay exclusively in the Hip Hop or open format genres.  They have a good mix of celebrity hosts and musicians, such as Fergie, Kid Cudi, Pitbull, Khloe Kardashian, and Jessica Alba.

The club trails in popularity to the Top 3, but it is a nice venue at an attractive price point if you’re looking for a Hip Hop Club in Vegas.
